Range Reports:
Upper Range: David reported that an animal had been left out after their last shoot. If anyone sees this happening again, to please call David or Ron.
Lower covered range: Kelly displayed an act of vandalism that is occurring on the lower range where someone is deliberately shooting and destroying a target. He also wants to give a great thanks to Ron Weaver for the flashing light to indicate someone downrange.
Many thanks were given to Tim and Jacob Jenneiahn, A-Z Guns in Blackfoot, for the sandbags for the lower as well as upper ranges. They are greatly appreciated!
.22 Rifle Range; Chuck reported that the summer league is finished for the year. The 50 foot indoor league will start on December 5th at 5:30.
Outdoor Pistol Range: We need a chairman for this range. Anyone interested? Please contact a board member.
Indoor Range: Mike reported that all is well on this range.
Trap: Bill reported that they are still shooting on Thursday nights starting around 5.
Sporting Clays: All is good! If there are any problems on this range, let Jed or James know.
Calendar: Larry reported that the calendar is up to date.
Web site: Terry has a handle on this.
An announcement was made to inform our membership that on the 3rd Saturday of the month, when the Black Powder Cartridge match is shooting, the 2 east bays on the lower range will be closed for safety reasons.
New Business:
Youth Sporting Clays- Sept. 28th will be the date for this event at our club. They will use the 5 Stand building, clubhouse, and sporting clays range as well as the trap range. They are expecting a large number of participants for this event, about 15 teams of 5 shooters each,
Annual Sight-In-Day- This is also on Sept. 28th from 9AM to 3PM. Range officers will be at the range to help anyone wanting to sight in before the hunting season. We could use some additional help from 12 to 3. If you feel you could help, contact Chris.
An additional container will be placed in back of the target shed. The foundation for this as well as the dirt work to be done on the outdoor .22 range will be done at the same time.
New members were introduced.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:27
Respectfully submitted,
Chris Jenneiahn, secretary
