President’s Message
We had a very successful site-in day and closing social. We had good participation from the club and good attendance from the public. The Shotgun Club Championship also went very well. Those that participated had a great time.
Our next meeting will be held in the basement of A to Z and we will be doing the mailing for the November news letter. I hope we have a good turnout.
As some of you may know, I am resigning as President of the Club effective at the end of the club meeting on November 4th. I will be out of the area for the next two years and will not be able to help. I have thoroughly enjoyed the last eight years as President. It has been a wonderful experience and I have gained a lot. First, I have made many lifelong friends that have made my life better. Second, it has been fun to help the club grow and improve. Third, I have ended up with a lot more guns and ammo.
I wish I could personally mention all that have helped but the list is too long. I have told many of you that I have really enjoyed the shooting but the people are still the number one reason to be a member of the club.
I guess I have one last chance to get on my soap box a little. This is a real good club. It has about 500 members not counting spouses and children. We have real good facilities and many good activities throughout the year. But, these things just don’t appear. Someone has to make them work. Less than 10% of the club membership is involved in helping. I hope this can change. We need people to step up and help. It doesn’t take a lot of work if everyone does a little. I am sure that club will be in good hands. I look forward to returning and being a part of the club again. For the last time, thank you for all that you do. It really has been a lot of fun.
MINUTES of October 7, 2015 Meeting
Board members present: Gordon Wankier, Rod Cross, Terry Hansen, Bill Kelleher, Randy Shiosaki, and Chris Jenneiahn
Reminder: Next month’s meeting will be held in town at A-Z Guns and Pawn.
New members were introduced. Orientation will follow the meeting.
Gordon reiterated that the web site will be up and running shortly. There will be new pictures and instructions for use. The web site will be a vehicle for paying dues on line and track memberships more easily. We need a new web master. Terry Hansen will fulfill this role.
Site in Day was very successful. This was run in conjunction with the shotgun championships. A good crowd was present for both.
The club wish list was looked at once more. A short board meeting will follow the regular meeting to determine the priority of our list.
Terry reported that James Martin asked that we purchase trickle chargers for the batteries used for sporting clays and 5 stand. This will keep our batteries in working order for next year. The motion was passed unanimously.
