January Newsletter 2017

Cedar Hills Gun Club

January President’s Message

Here we are moving fast into 2017. It has already brought a lot of excitement. Weather has seemed to be the major talk lately. Our monthly meeting was cancelled last Wednesday due to the weather. Those who received memberships as gifts for Christmas, please contact me to help expedite your membership rather than wait for next month’s meeting.

Denton Klingler, a club member and local businessman, has worked hard to make sure the road from gate and parking lot has been plowed. Please be patient as we work with the county to keep the road opened and gun club available for winter activities.

ONE ITEM OF SAFETY DURING THIS WINTER- PLEASE USE THE WEST DOOR INTO THE CLUBHOUSE RATHER THAN THE MAIN DOOR DUE TO SNOW AND ICE BUILDUP.

The indoor pistol range has seen a great deal of activity this winter. The indoor 5 stand building has also been busy with several groups from up and down the valley coming to shoot. The 5 stand is open every Saturday, weather permitting, from 11 AM until all shooters have finished.

Before we know, spring will be here and this snow will be but a memory and our projects will begin for range improvement. Please let us know of your talents and willingness to make our rough gem of a gun club into a place where you are proud to be a member.

Thank you,

Jed Taylor, president
