President’s Message

We have had a real good year. Our membership is in the 450-500 range, the ranges are in good shape and we are fiscally sound. We did have a little vandalism this past year but that has been the exception. We are happy with the way things are going. I would like to make an observation. We have a very broad base of members and the club gets used a lot but is seldom crowded. I think that is great. We have a very good board of directors and several faithful club members that come most every month. The one thing that concerns me is the hair color of most of the people that come. It is gray or white. We have very few members that show up month to month that are younger. I realize that time is very valuable but we need some help from the next generation. Someone will need to take over from the old guard some day. It would be very helpful if we could get more participation from the younger generation at our monthly club meetings. I don’t think you need to come every month but a few times per year would be very helpful to both you and the club. For example, we are taking a serious look at redoing some berms and adding others on the lower range. We could use some help and advice on how this should be done. I hope more people will come to club meetings and help out with range improvement and maintenance. It is your club and things don’t just get done by themselves. I do appreciate all that help and hope we can get a more help in the future. Thanks for all you do. See you at the range.
