December Newsletter 2021

Dear Cedar hills Gun Club members,

The club remains in good financial condition.  November was an expensive month with several larger bills coming due.  Thankfully they were all budgeted and within expectations.  If you haven’t done so yet, I would encourage you to check out the new cover at the 22-silhouette range.  It was a long time in coming, but did not disappoint.

It is once again renewal time.   The renewal link on the website is active and probably the easiest way to renew.  If you don’t renew before the new year, your gate pass will stop working after Jan first.  As a reminder, new members who signed up after October first this year do not need to renew, their membership is good through 2022.

We would like to thank Carl Hoehner for his generous donation of steel targets for the upper range.  Carl is not a member, but a frequent guest who wanted to support the range.  If you know or run into Carl, remember to thank him.

Our indoor rimfire silhouette shoots started this Thursday and they will be shooting most Thursdays over the winter.  Details are on the club calendar.

The club is looking for some part time help.  We need probably two people for miscellaneous maintenance (clubhouse cleaning, emptying trash at the ranges) and to refill target throwers.  It would be great for a High School student who just needs some pocket money.  For more information, talk to Jed Taylor.

The 5-stand building will be closed the first Wednesday of each month from 6-7 PM for the club board of directors meeting.  We will add this closure to the calendar of events.  The entire range is closed to shooting the first Wednesday of the month from 7-8 pm for our club meeting (if you are up at the range then, you should come on in to the meeting).
